It is a campaign tool, not a substitute for a thoughtful prize, clear eligibility rules and a permission-based email plan.
KingSumo Free vs Pro: what do you get?
The AppSumo plan comparison, checked on 23 October 2026, lists two choices:
- Free — $0: unlimited giveaways, bonus entries, embedding on any website, multiple prizes and winners, and basic integrations including SendFox and Zapier.
- Pro lifetime license — $49 one-time: the Free features plus custom branding, Meta Pixel and conversion tracking, translation and localization, custom rules and terms, extra entry fields, removal of the AppSumo sponsored entry, and advanced integrations including Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Klaviyo and a custom API.
The listing says no codes and no stacking; users select one of the two license tiers and can upgrade or downgrade under the stated terms. It also says a purchased license must be activated within 60 days and advertises a 60-day money-back guarantee. These are the listing’s terms as displayed on the check date, not a promise about future offers or eligibility for an individual purchase.
The old page’s $98 and $147 tiers, multiple custom domains, team seats and higher stacked limits are not part of the current listing. Nor does it establish that a custom domain comes with Pro. Confirm any feature you require in the current checkout or with KingSumo before deciding.
Which plan fits a real campaign?
Start with Free if you want to test whether a narrowly relevant prize attracts the right audience and you can use the standard presentation and rules. Build the campaign around one clear goal: for example, collect permission-based signups for a product newsletter. Track confirmed, consenting subscribers and later engagement, not just the raw number of giveaway entries.
Consider Pro if your campaign needs your branding, custom entry fields, more email integrations or custom rules. That last feature matters for an international audience. KingSumo’s rules guide says the Free plan uses default rules with a 21-or-older condition and United States/Texas governing-law language. The Pro/Lifetime plan lets the organizer write custom terms. What should you check before launching?
- Prize and audience: choose a prize tied to your product or topic. Decide what a valuable lead means before asking people to share.

- Consent: separate giveaway entry from permission to receive marketing. KingSumo’s spam and email guidance says certain integrations send only entrants who give marketing consent.
- Fraud review: KingSumo documents invisible reCAPTCHA on every plan, plus other network checks. These reduce abuse; they do not certify that every lead is genuine.

If you run a WordPress site, use the current hosted web app and test the embed on desktop and mobile. KingSumo’s support page says its older WordPress plugin has been retired and no longer receives updates; it recommends the web app for new giveaways. Do not build a new workflow around an abandoned plugin.
Pros, limits and buying decision
The main advantages are a usable Free tier, a clearly listed one-time Pro option, referral entries and embeddable campaigns. Pro adds brand and rules control that may matter more than extra decorative options. The main limits are also practical: giveaway entries are not automatically qualified sales leads, default rules may not fit your audience, and the listing does not substantiate some advanced features formerly claimed on this page. Test the precise integration, language and embed behavior you need before a production campaign.
For a Bangladesh-based business, budget in BDT using your card issuer’s actual rate and fees, and test your entry page with the languages and devices your audience uses. The AppSumo page says KingSumo supports localization, but it does not itself prove that a specific Bengali campaign will render exactly as you want. A short trial with a clear consent path is more informative than a promise of viral growth.
